Integrum Scientific and Matthews Specialty Vehicles mobile labs for dangerous outbreaks.
Corporate leaders and globally renowned infectious disease researchers from Matthews Specialty Vehicles and Integrum Scientific of Greensboro, NC, met in January 2019 to announce the development of mobile laboratories to help research, diagnose, and treat infectious disease outbreaks, like the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Joseph Sgherza, CEO of Integrum Scientific mentioned: “We plan to utilize state-of-the-art technology to bring the mobile units to the most remote areas of Africa. Instead of having to drive a few hours through really treacherous terrain just to test someone’s blood, imagine being able to save that time by having the testing and treatment facilities on site. It is going to be a great asset, and we are excited to be partnering with Matthews Specialty Vehicles on this project.”
